Patsy Ruth Ford

Patsy Ruth (Fox) Ford age 75 of Mortons Gap, KY passed away at 7:00 A.M. Friday October 23, 2009 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. She was born October 13, 1934 in Hopkins Co., KY to Lectcher and Corine Givens Fox. She retired in 1992 from Bell South Telephone Co. where she worked as a telephone operator. She was a memeber of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY, the Gideons Auxiliary, Young at Hearts at the First Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY and she sang and played with the Salem Quartet. She also played piano at several local area churches. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Ford in 2006, two sisters Betty Ford and Wanda Hardwick and one brother Wayne Fox. She is survived by one son Kelly Scott Ford and his wife Marjorie of Nortonville, KY, one daughter Julie Ford Coursey and her husband Will of Madisonville, KY, three grandchildren Kelly Scarlett Ford, Liam Coursey and Quinn Coursey and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday October 25 at the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY with Bro. Wayne Duncan, Bro. Kerry Smith, Bro. Will Coursey and Bro. Ronnie Hensley officiating. Her burial will be in Salem Memorial Gardens in Mortons Gap, KY. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday October 24 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home and from 1:00 P.M. until the service at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap. The family would like to invite everyone to be part of a community choir at the funeral.
