Paul Edward Frields

Paul Edward Frields, 100, of Henderson passed away Saturday, February, 18, 2023 at The Heartford House in Owensboro.

He was born in Henderson on December 8, 1922 to the late Strawther Chesley and Frankie Vera (Melton) Frields.

Paul was a World War II US Navy Veteran. He was a welder who could build anything. He was a member of Henderson’s First Baptist Church and also participated in the jail ministry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son David Edward Frields and two brothers Charles Thomas Frields and John Melton Frields.

Survivors include his seven children Mary Ann Hobson, Paula Reynolds, Jerry Frields (Shirley), Billy Frields (Brenda), Sharon Hazelwood (Pat), Becky J. Smith (Houston), Glenn Frields (Darla); one sister Dixie West; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2:30 PM Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5-8PM and Thursday 1:00 until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Davis, Bryce Hazelwood, Darin Frields, Samuel Frields, Mark Bowling and John Newland.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice, Hospice of Western Kentucky The Heartford House, Henderson’s First Baptist Church or Father Bradley Shelter for Women and Children.
