Paul "Mickey" Fulkerson

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, Paul "Mickey" Fulkerson was called to be with the Lord after a lengthy fight awaiting a lung transplant.  Paul was proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Fulkerson, his brothers and sisters, and his step-daughter, Jennifer Burris.   Survivors include his ex-wife and best friend, Rhonda Fulkerson; daughters, Christina (Mike) Coleman, Tiffany (J) Parker, Jennifer Stofleth, Jessica (Jeremy) Woods, and step-son, Anthony (Bre) Burris; grandchildren, Bryce and Ayden Coleman, Seth, Kalyn, Cole, Emma, Zayne, Layla, Jax and Mara Parker, Aubre, Bryant, Ella and Lyncoln Stofleth, Braxton, Dylan and Braylan Burris, Payton Rigdon and Shelby Burris; great grandchildren, Carter, Rylan, Mila and Brantly.   Some of Paul's favorite past times include model trains and cars, bass fishing, deer hunting, hot rods, his fish pond, and cheering on the Wildcats. He loved Halloween, scary movies, camp outs in the backyard, and classic cartoons (with or without the kids).  Paul worked as a self-employed contractor for over 40 years and absolutely loved the precision, skill, and beauty of his talents. He took much pride in his work and valued each and every customer.  He loved his family and enjoyed gatherings that included grilled hot dogs, Thomason's BBQ and baked beans, and don't forget the sweet tea!   Paul was a family man. He continued to remind his children how proud he was of each of them. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. This was evident in his 5 am runs to Walgreens for false eyelashes, and rescuing many festival goldfish.  Paul will be remembered for his peace signs, his talents, his loving soul and "good looks". But mostly he will be remembered for this kind spirit and his strength.   Visitation will be at Tomblinson Funeral Home on Friday, June 18, from 10-1. Funeral services will begin at 1pm with graveside service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Childhood friend, Pastor Jack Ross, will officiate.  The family asks if you have UK attire to wear it in honor of Paul, if not that will be fine, everyone is welcome.   Pallbearers will be Bryant Stofleth, Dylan Burris, Braxton Burris, Kris Gish, Bradley Fulkerson, Shay Brocato, Steven Mitchell, Nathan Wood, Robert (Bear) Dewar and Bryce Coleman.
