Paul Ray Sheets, Jr., 99, lifelong resident of Henderson, passed away Friday December 31, 2021 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky. He was born in Henderson on January 28, 1922 to the late Paul Ray Sr. and Cecilia (Wendling) Sheets. Paul was a veteran having served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He owned and operated Sheets Moving and Storage in Henderson for many years. Paul was a member of Henderson’s General Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Paula Sheets Book and a brother Lee Sheets. Survivors include his wife of 76 years Eunice Sheets; 2 children Gayle Sheets Pinkstaff (Dewayne) of Scottsdale, AZ, Craig Sheets (Vicky) of Henderson; 7 grandchildren Chad Pinkstaff (Obdulia) of Phoenix, AZ, Carmin Pinkstaff-Puncochar (Jonathan) of Franklin, TN, Rudy Harvey (Danielle) of Henderson, Jessica Sheets of Henderson, Brian Book (April), Jeffrey Book (Tina) and Sarah Book-Fischer (Jeremy) all of Ft. Myers, FL and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
