Paula Johnston

Paula Joan (Mattingly) Johnston, 71 of Henderson, Kentucky passed away on June 3, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. She was born on April 14, 1945 in Henderson County, Kentucky to the late Joseph Paul Mattingly and Loretta Goldsberry Mattingly. She was a realtor for 48 years and was the first female broker in Henderson, Kentucky. Paula was a real estate broker with F. C. Tucker Emge Realtors in Henderson. She was a GRI graduate, certified in residential sales. She was active in Henderson Audubon Board of Directors where she served as past president. She was involved in the local Toys for Tots and Goodfellows for over 26 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Rhonda Mattingly Wilson.She is survived by her husband, Ernie Johnston, of Henderson, KY, her children, Sherri (Tim) Richmond of Henderson, KY, Troy (Allison) Priest of United Arab Emirates, Kim Ivie of Evansville, IN, two brothers, Joe (Vera) Mattingly of Henderson, KY and John (Dana) Mattingly of Newburgh, IN, grandchildren, Zack Westerfield, Justin Westerfield, Eathon Westerfield, Hadyn Priest, Katie Gardner, Joseph Lile, Ben Parker, Tony Parker, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson at 10:00 with Father Maury Riney officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00-7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until service time.
