Pauline Norman, age 79, of Baskett, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, at Lucy Smith King Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Henderson, Kentucky, Pauline was the cherished daughter of the late Paul and Gladys (Purcell) Redmon. She was a devoted member of Advance Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life. Pauline retired after many dedicated years in the school system, serving as both a cafeteria worker and a school bus driver.
Pauline was a woman of many joys, finding pleasure in reading, playing games, and especially watching her UK Wildcats. However, her greatest delight was spending time with her grandchildren and family, teaching them about the love of Jesus. The Norman house and pool was always open to the kids of Baskett, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her siblings: Paul Redmon Jr., Henrietta Unser, and Myrna Kaye Smithhart.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Hayden Norman; her children, Gayla Dee Berry (Dwayne) and Brad Norman (Teresa); her grandchildren, Wes Norman, Nicole Norman, Dessie Berry McCormick, Devyn Berry Brantley, Daniel Berry, Rebecca Lorenzo, and Rachel Day; as well as 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Pauline's life, officiated by Allen Butler and Brother Ellis Payne, will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Advance Baptist Church. Visitation will take place at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
Pauline's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
