Peggy Jean (Bowen) Fannin, 87, of Corydon, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at home.
She was born in Sassafras, KY on March 19, 1935 to the late Delzie and Arminta (Madden) Bowen.
Peggy was a teacher at Audubon and Weaverton Elementary Schools, secretary at Cresline Plastic Pipe Company, and a member of Hyland Baptist Church. After retirement, she continued working at Meuth Concrete. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and an angel on Earth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Inez Terry, Irene Cornett, Pat Montgomery, Fran Parks, and Deane Seals.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Omar Fannin; children, Lisa Thomas of Corydon and Lynda Watson (Neil) of Henderson; six grandchildren, Jesse Thomas, Denton Thomas, Dean Wathen, Davis Wathen, Cameron Watson, and Addison Watson; five great grandchildren, Kason Thomas, Keaton Thomas, Charlie Jane Wathen, Ella Margaret Wathen, and Benjamin Watson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 19 with Pastor Kenny Kidd officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, November 19 from 10 a.m. until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be Greg Pirtle, Gabe Pirtle, Jesse Thomas, Denton Thomas, Dean Wathen, Davis Wathen.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hyland Baptist Church.
