Peggy Sue Jewell

Peggy Sue Jewell, 77, of Owensboro, KY foramaly of Henderson, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her home.

Peggy was born in Louisville, KY to the late William and Marie (Burris) Troutman.

Peggy worked for the Henderson County School system as a custodian. She was a member of the Lewis Lane Baptist Church and formaly attended Zion Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years. She loved arts and crafts, crocheting, and being with her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary W. Jewell, and her son, Shane Thomas Jewell, nephew, Mike Williams.

Peggy is survived by her three kids, Shelly Marie Jewell Thomas (Robert), Michelle (Mickey) Denice Jewell Chambers (Jimmy), and Shawn Wayne Jewell (Crystal); grandkids, Robby Thomas (Christina), Danny Thomas (Mandy), Garry Jewell, Elijah Jewell, Emma Durbin (Kenley), Peyton Luenebrink, Jessa Luenebrink; great-grandkids, Kaylee, Emily, Carsyn, Mackenzie, Derrick, Drew, Lauren, Grayson, Cooper; great-great-grandkids, Ellie, Kirby, Brooke, Noah; sister, Patsy Carol Williams; niece, Tina Boucherie; nephew, Bill Williams; best friend of 73 years, Margarette Beals, and her kids, Amy Beals, and Linda Beals; caregivers, James Snodgrass, Kim Snodgrass, Krystal Tucker, Paul Tucker, Keyden Tucker, Dustin Tucker, and Paige Tucker.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with Mike Hyson officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memroial Gardens.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
