Peter L. O'Nan

Peter Leon "Petie" O'Nan, 74, of Sebree passed away December 25, 2016 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. He was born in Webster County to the late Peter and Dorothy (Gish) O'Nan. Peter was a member of Sebree General Baptist Church, had retired from Webster County School System, worked at Sebree Compaction Center for several years, served as Sebree-Slaughters District Magistrate for 1 term, Currently Sebree City Councilman, a Vietnam Air Force Veteran, member of Austin Collins American Legion Post # 243 and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Finis O'Nan, sister Martha O'Nan and niece Trudy McConnell. He is survived by his wife Peggy (Glassco) O'Nan of Sebree, 3 children: Angie and spouse Kristi O'Nan of Evansville, IN, David and spouse Hilesha O'Nan of Evansville, IN, and Andrew O'Nan of Sebree, 4 grandchildren Rylan O'Nan, Dylan O'Nan, Faelen O'Nan, and Tilen Mejia, 1 sister Alice Burton of Sebree, 2 brothers Frank O'Nan of Henderson and Danny O'Nan of Sebree, nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday December 29, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree with Bro. Gary Ashby officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson. Full military rite by American Legion Worsham Post 40. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday December 28 and 9:00 AM-service time Thursday at the funeral home.
