Philip Clayton Bender, 82 of Henderson died 2:41 AM August 8, 2013 at Henderson Nursing and Rehab. He was born May 31, 1931 in Mt. Carmel, IL to Clarence and Nina Bertha ( Kuehling) Bender. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded by his parents, 1st wife Donna, 2nd wife Ruby, 3rd wife Betty, brother Delbert Bender, 2 grandchildren; Heath Kanipe and Heather Barger and step-daughter Brenda Jenkins. He is survived by 8 children: Karen Ligon and husband Jerry Steve Bender and wife Susie Donnie Bender and wife Debbie ` Darlene Alvey and husband Rich Charlene Cates Jeffery Bender and wife Regenia Patrick Bender and wife Carla all of Henderson Billy Bender and wife Theresa of Dixon Step-daughter: Linda Cooper and husband Jim of TN 26 grandchildren 48 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren Funeral service will be 11:30 AM Saturday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Visitation will be 9:30AM-11:30AM Saturday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Brother Brad Harrison will officiate. There will be a private burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel., IL
