Quince Chambers, Jr., 90, of Henderson, Ky., passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Oasis Dementia Care in Evansville, Ind. Mr. Chambers was born in Newberry, Ind. on Friday, April 13, 1928 to the late Quince Sr. and Edith (McElroy) Chambers. He retired as a general manager from Griffin Industries in Henderson and was a member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church of Henderson. He was a member of the Methodist Men and was a coach for the Henderson County Lions. Mr. Chambers was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He is survived by three sons, Larry Chambers (Tami) of Henderson, Tom Chambers (Vicki) of Boonville, Indiana, and Mike Chambers (Bobbie) of Henderson; grandchildren, Heath Chambers, Brandon Chambers (Audrey), Danielle Breedlove, Bryce Chambers (Kayla), and Tess Chambers; great-grandchildren, Dylan Chambers, Presley Chambers, Taylor Chambers, Sydney Chambers, Maci Breedlove, Madison Breedlove, and Tanner Chambers; one sister, Mary Bedell of Oaktown, Ind.; brothers, Jim Chambers of Henderson and Ralph Chambers of Oaktown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Mae Chambers and brothers. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Jeff Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites conducted by Henderson American Legion Worsham Post 40. Pallbearers will be Larry Chambers, Tom Chambers, Mike Chambers, Heath Chambers, Brandon Chambers and Dylan Chambers.Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.
