Ralph Thomas Boyd

Ralph Thomas Boyd, 86, of Henderson died peacefully at home on January 5, 2017. He was born May 19, 1930 in Murray, KY to Dwight and Clover Ann Boyd. Ralph was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Temple and Grace Point Church where he sang in the choir for over fifty years. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Pharmacy and was a long time area pharmacist who owned and operated Boyd's Pharmacy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Johnye Pat Boyd. He is survived by his wife of 32 ½ years; Maxine Boyd, four children; René Kauder and her husband Bruce of Yorktown, VA, Brad Boyd and his wife Anne of Henderson, KY, Sherre Brauer and her husband Tim of Chickasha, OK, Karie Goss of Evansville, IN, eight grandchildren; Mara Lucas and husband Tom, Rachel Kauder, Caroline Satterfield and husband Shane, Abigail Boyd, Seth Stanley, Travis Brauer, Caleb Brauer and Ryan Rizen, five great grandchildren; Jack Joyner, Cecilia Satterfield, Max Lucas, Madalynn Stanley, and Haydon Stanley. A celebration of his life will be 3:00 PM Friday January 13, 2017 at Grace Point Church, 3440 Zion Road in Henderson. Pastor Ken Gazaway will be presiding. Visitation will be at 1:30PM, prior to the service, at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Grace Point Church or the charity of your choice.
