Ralph D. Nance, 70, of Slaughters, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree. He was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky on June 17, 1948 to the late Raymond Whitson and Dorothy Jean (Newton) Nance. Ralph was a Webster County High School graduate of the class of 1967. He had worked in TV sales and service, as a loan officer and most recently as a truck driver for Hust Farms in Slaughters. He was a member of the Popcorn CB Club using the nickname "Packrat." He loved to DJ music with his favorite being from the 50s and 60s. Ralph also enjoyed camping, playing cards and tinkering with things. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Faye (Nance) Gatlin. Survivors include a brother-in-law Charles Wayne Gatlin of Madisonville; two nieces, Lori Dickerson and husband Joseph of Madisonville, Tara Ford and husband Jason of Columbia, Tennessee; one great-niece, Mallory Dickerson-Johnson and husband Mark of Madisonville; three great-nephews, Kyle Dickerson and wife Nicole of Ft. Myers, Florida, Connor Ford and Ryan Ford, both of Columbia, Tenn. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joseph Dickerson, Mark Johnson, Jason Ford and Connor Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Wayne Gatlin and Ryan Ford. Due to Ralph's love of dogs and cats, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hopkins County Humane Society or Molly's Mutts Animal Rescue.
