Randal "Rk" Steele

Randal “RK” Steele 83 of Henderson passed away April 04, 2018 at Redbanks Nursing Home under Hospice Care. He was born in Henderson County to the late Randal Kefton Steele Sr. and Ora Lee (Denton). He worked 41 years for Henderson County Health Department, was on the Henderson County Council of the blind and an Alumni of Barrett Manual Training High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John David Steele and five sisters, Corinne, Lula, Mable, Dorothy and Carolyn. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, LouAnn (Hayes) Steele; son Randy Steele, daughter-in-law Rhonda Steele; sisters, Goldie Steele Sasse, Charlotte Steele Perrin, D. Elaine Steele; grandchildren, David M. Steele and his wife Traci, Kevin M. Steele ; great-granddaughter Amelia Grace Steele; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and Papa to the  Thurmond children and grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday April 07, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Pastor John Brumfiel will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday April 06, 2018 and on Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contribution can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or RedBanks Activity Fund.
