Ray Edward Hight

Ray Edward Hight, 83 of Sebree, KY and formerly of Wingo, KY passed away at 10:05 PM Saturday March 9, 2013 at Redbanks Colonial Terrance Nursing Home in Sebree. He was born December 11, 1929 in Haywood County, TN to the late James Burr and Mae (Brown) Hight. He was a retired Outside Plant Manager for West KY Rural Telephone Coop. Ray was a member of First Baptist Church in Sebree. He was also an active fisherman, loved gardening and working in his orchard, a family man and always dedicated to his church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son; Ray E. Hight, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Janie Mildred Harper Hight. Daughter; Jacqueline Conn and husband (J. Mac) of Sebree, KY Sons; Kenneth C. Hight and wife Rita of Lanesville, IN James B. Hight and wife Sandra of Clermont, FL 5 Grandchildren; Christopher M. Conn and wife Jess of Kopolei, HI Jonathan R. Conn and wife Stephanie of Newburgh, IN Jennnifer Hight Austin and husband Travis of La Junta, CO Felicia Hight of Orlando, FL J. R. Hight of Clermont, FL 4 Great Grandchildren 2 Brothers; Romus Hight of Brownsville, TN Russell Hight of Jackson, TN Nieces and Nephews Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Pastor James Shuck will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 and Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ed Moreland, Allen Newton, Phil Gillespie, Adam Wiley, Dave Wiley, Tommy Tow, Fran Hedges and Aimee Carroll. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randall Hedges, Doug Lynn, Eldon Bradley, Sonny Sears and Eddie Carrico. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
