Ray Leon Smith

Ray Leon Smith, 79 of Henderson passed away 5:20 PM Friday, August 23, 2013 at Henderson Nursing and Rehab. He was born July 26, 1934 to Frank and Ella Smith. Ray was a member of First Assembly of God and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Vickie Lynn Smith Welden,granddaughter Kari Renee Wleden, 2 brothers Paul Smith and Wayne Smith, 2 sisters; Reba Davis and Doris Davis. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Alice Smith 1 son: Mike Smith of Evansville 2 brothers: Don E. Smith and his wife Norma of Louisville, KY Stanley G. Smith and his wife Linda of Dayton, OH 1 sister: Carmolita Tipton and her husband Ben of Noble, OK 3 grandchildren: Eric Welden and his wife Stacey, Ashley Smith and Adam Smith 2 great grandchildren: Matthew Welden and Joshua Welden Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday August 29 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jeff Ferguson will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
