We are deeply saddened to announce that Raymond D. Griffin passed away on April 6, 2026, in Lecanto, Florida, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, at the age of 84.

Born on April 21, 1941, in Morganfield, Kentucky, Raymond lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and a genuine love for others. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a devoted Catholic who loved the Lord.

Friends and family will remember Raymond for his wit and great sense of humor. He always made time to offer thoughtful advice and showed unwavering kindness to those around him.

In retirement, Raymond found joy in traveling to visit his children. He cherished time spent with family and approached each day with gratitude and grace. His presence brought warmth to every gathering, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Vanda Griffin; his brother, Bobby Griffin; his two daughters, Norma Antonio and her husband, Mel Antonio, and Denise Moore; and his son, Randal Griffin, and his wife, Natasha. He is also survived by four granddaughters, Brooke Sanders, Jessica Antonio, Ava Antonio, and Sarah Griffin, as well as one great-grandson, Liam Sanders.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Griffin; his mother, Zola Wilson; five sisters, Maddie Farthing, Lorene Newcom, Mary Carrier, Dorothy Russelburg, and Aminelle Griffin; and two brothers, lloff Griffin and Donnie Wilson.

A service to honor Raymond's life will be held on Monday, April 13, at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Raymond's memory, continuing his legacy of giving.
