Raymond E. Lemon

Raymond E. Lemon, 79 of Henderson passed away on June 27, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center.He was born September 2, 1937 in Salem, KY, the son of William and Dorothy Lemon.  Raymond was a member of First Assembly of God.  Most of his life he was employed as a meat cutter but he retired from Henderson Water Department.  Raymond spent most of his adult life enjoying riding his motorcycle.  After retirement, he enjoyed fishing with his fishing buddy, Don Ploss.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Don and Darrel Lemon and a son-in-law; Ron Whobrey.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sue, his daughter, Judy Whobrey, his son David Lemon, a grandson, William Whobrey, one sister Wanda Holland and a brother Russell Lee Lemon, nieces and nephews.Services will be Friday, June 30 at 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Mike Ballard officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and Friday, 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.Pallbearers will be Don Ploss, Wayne Beck, Chris Nally, Ron Burns, Chris Holland and Glenn Frields.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.  Online condolences may be made at www.tomblinsonfuneralhome.com.
