Richard "Rick" Franklin Buckman

Richard “Rick’ Franklin Buckman, age 69 of Henderson, KY passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Gateway Deaconess Hospital.

Richard Franklin Buckman was born on January 21, 1955 in Henderson, KY to the late Benjamin Franklin Buckman and Imogene Elizabeth Blanford Buckman.

He married Velvet Meredith Buckman on August 21, 1996. Rick is also survived by his son, Rick Dale Buckman of Henderson, Ky. and 2 step-children, David Wayne Poff of Sturgis Ky and Tonya Lynn Poff Hall of Evansville; grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna, Austyn, Elizabeth, Maddie and Rick; nieces and nephews; sister, Phyllis Buckman Moser of Henderson, KY.

Rick worked at Lowes for 13 years prior to his retirement. Rick also owned a Hardware Store located on Powell and Letcher Street prior to Lowes. After retiring he enjoyed driving country roads, his hummingbirds and fishing. Rick was a dedicated husband a who dearly loved his wife.

A Celebration of life is planned for Monday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10-2 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel.
