Rickie Alan Bean, 56 of St Charles was called to glory to rest in his Father’s arms at 6:32 A.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Waiting for him there were his parents, William Eastel and Geneva Bloodworth Bean, his baby sister, Lisa Lynn Bean, his brothers, Nobel Wayne and Cecil Ray Nixon, and his nephew, Timothy Charles Bean. We was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and godfather. Before his illness, he liked to hunt and fish, do woodworking, repair cars, and work with his hands. He was an avid classic and muscle car fan. He met “The love of his life”, Debbie Mcmanus Bean in 1976. They were married on May 16, 1981. They had a wonderful marriage and were totally devoted to each other for 32 years. When they gave their hearts to God on October 26, 1986, their life became complete by always putting Him first in their lives and He blessed them richly. Rickie was a faithful and humble man of God. He enjoyed working for the Lord and was an ordained deacon. He loved to help others but would rarely ask for help for himself. He is survived by two sisters, Cora Bean of Nortonville, and Helen Adams of St. Charles, one brother, William David (Denise) Bean of Central City, two godsons, Jordon and Byron Stanley of St. charles, five nieces and three nephews. He worked at Speed Queen (later called Alliance) in Madisonville for over 22 years. His last place of employment was Autoliv. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Reid Walters Funeral home with brother Jerry Bean and brother J.W. Haire officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 and after 10:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Christian Privilege Cemetery in St. Charles. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Nixon, Jay Nixon, Christopher Bean, Jordon Stanley, Byron Stanley, and Perry Camplin. Honary pallbearers are Sheila Bean Smith, Kathy Bean Cherry, Sara Nixon Woodruff, Debbie Nixon Suttle and Denise Nixon Moore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons.
