Ricky James Ballou, Md, Phd

Ricky James Ballou, MD, PhD, 63 passed away January 31, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center.   He was born November 19, 1954 in Union City, IN to James Edgar and Wilma Ballou.  Ricky graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School and was a member of the Henderson City Letterman Club.He was preceded in death by his father; James Edgar Ballou.He is survived by his wife of 38 years; Pam Ballou, his mother; Wilma Ballou, 3 children; Sarah McGaughey and her husband Ryan of Lawrenceburg, KY, Samuel James Ballou of Henderson, and Katie King and her husband Mike of Henderson, 1 sister; Vickie Phillips and her husband Tommy of Henderson, 1 brother; David Ballou and his wife Connie of Henderson, 2 grandchildren; Abby King and Kinsley McGaughey, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Pastor Jason Cowan and Pastor Kenny Kidd will officiate.  Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, 3:00 PM-8:00 PM and Saturday, 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Keith Skaggs, Brian James, Dr. Ritchie Van Bussum, Zach Hargis, Zeb Hargis, Jake Mauzey, Greg Phillips and Dan Phillips.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society or Hyland Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.tomblinsonfuneralhome.com .
