Robert Eugene Burris

Robert Eugene Burris, 72, of Corydon passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 at his residence in Henderson surrounded by his family. He was born in Henderson to Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Griffin) Burris on April 8, 1942. He was retired and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Robert was an U. S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandchild Kiley Elizabeth Crowley. Survivors include his wife of 43 years Beverly Burris 2 Children: Terri Fulcher and husband Sam of Henderson Travis Burnette and wife Carrie of Robards 2 Sisters: Kay Hawkins and husband Roy of Hanson Joyce Carter and husband Arthur of Gulfport, Mississippi 4 Grandchildren 10 Great-grandchildren Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday May 1, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Gish-Eakins Cemetery in Robards. Visitation will be Wednesday 3-8PM and Thursday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Travis Burnette, Tony Hall II, Sam Fulcher, Roy Hawkins, Heath Burnette and Chris Crowley. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
