Robert David Cox

Robert David Cox, 77, of Henderson, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. Mr. Cox was born March 16, 1943 at Mt. Vernon, IN to the late David and Elizabeth Cox.  He was retired from AT&T where he was a supervisor for the company.  He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, American Legion, the Tennessee Squire Association and was a Kentucky Colonel.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, yard work, wood work but above all he enjoyed being with his family and getting together for family cookouts. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Lee Cox. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Linda; two children, Patricia Lee ( Stephen ) of Lawton, OK, Danny Cox (Patricia ) of Corydon; sister, Carolyn Norman of Evansville; brother, Loren Cox ( Mary ) of Henderson; 7 grandchildren, Tasha Perry, Shan Perry, Samuel Cox, Stephen Lee, Christopher Cox, Jasmine Lee, Diana Cox; 3 great grandchildren, Alexia McClay, Brian McClay and Roxas Lee. Funeral services will be private for the family only. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel.
