Robert Earl Dame

Robert Earl Dame, 80 of Sebree, KY passed away at 6:02 pm Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center, St. Anthony’s Hospice at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY.  He was born in Ashbyburg, KY on September 11, 1936 to the late Ezra K and Rosalie Perrin Dame.  Robert Dame was a Christian family man, Whirlpool worker and a baseball great. Robert was a member of the United Methodist church in Sebree, KY and retired from Whirlpool after 35 years.  Robert loved sports, some more than others, he knew it and how to play it.  Kentucky Wildcats and the St. Louis Cardinals were his favorite.  He loved to travel to Branson, MO with family and friends.  He loved to play cards at the community center and at the Poole Restaurant.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Jack Dame of Sebree, KY and Ezra T. Dame of Beech Grove, KY, and niece; Nadine Dame Marshall of Henderson, KY. Survivors include his wife of 59 years; Shirlie Babb Dame, one daughter; Pam (David) Denison, his son; Tim (Cheryl) Dame of Sebree, KY, grandchildren; Heather Denison, Melissa (Isaac) Fulcher, Taylor Denison, Sarah (Kyle) Meadows of Sebree, KY, Hayleigh (Jeremy) Vance of Dawson Springs, KY, Scott Dame of Sebree, KY, 4 great grandchildren; Jaylea Meadows, Liam Fulcher, Tatum Fulcher of Sebree, KY and Steven John Vance of Dawson Springs, KY, uncle; Gene Perrin, nephews; Kerry Dame, Keith Dame of Henderson, KY, and niece Rhonda Woosley of Beech Grove, KY. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY.  Reverend Stan Strader, James Shuck, and Selby Coomer will officiate.  Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until the service hour. Pallbearers will be Kerry Dame, Keith Dame, Scott Dame, Kyle Meadows, Jeremy Vance and Isaac Fulcher. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Sebree United Methodist Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
