Robert Eugene “Bob” Eldreth, 90, of Henderson passed away Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Western Kentucky Veteran’s Center in Hanson. He was born in Jonben, West Virginia on May 30, 1930 to the late Reed and Goldie Mae (Adkins) Eldreth. Bob served 24 years in the United States Army as a CW03 Chief Warrant Officer, retiring in 1971, he then began working for the City of Henderson as a manager of the bus garage. After his 2nd retirement from the City of Henderson, he spent much of his time in volunteer work such as driving children to the hospital. During his many years of work, he also was an active member of the Rizpah Shriners, the Masonic Lodge #9 and the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son Robert Matthew “Rob” Eldreth and 2 sisters Eva Saye and Evelyn Kiblinger. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Fulcher) Eldreth and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Dr. JR Hune officiating. Visitation will be Monday 5-8PM and Tuesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard and Ft. Campbell Honor Guard.
