Robert Ivan Hamil

Robert Ivan Hamil, 58, of Spottsville, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

He was born in London, Ontario, Canada on February 18, 1964 to the late Robert Watson and Dona Esther (Hall) Hamil.

Robert worked for years as a coal miner for Peabody Coal and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid UK fan and an excellent “shade tree” mechanic. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved his dog, Roadie Jr.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Hamil and Beth Hamil, both of Evansville; six grandsons, Hunter Hostetler, Dominic Martinez, Ivan Nunez, Richard Nunez Jr., Xander Huffman, and Oliver Huffman; sisters, Linda Stevens of Canada, Marilyn Bencich (Syl) of Canada, Marcia Williams (Steve) of Henderson, and Roberta Phillips (Jerry) of Henderson; several nieces and nephews.
