Robert Marion Jenkins

Robert Marion Jenkins passed away on July 14, 2017.  He was born to the late John Robert and Marion Lois Jenkins on May 20, 1948.  He was a member of Community Baptist Church and also attended Zion UCC.He was a graduate of Murray State University, and taught school in the Henderson City/County school system.  Also, he retired from the Green River Development District and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul.Robert’s joys in life were his relationship with Jesus Christ, his family, and his many friends.  He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, gardening, fishing and bird watching.He is survived by his wife who was the love of his life and best friend, Vicki Watson Jenkins; daughter, Amy Carter and her husband Jake of Whitefish Bay, WI and son, Wes Jenkins and his wife Katie of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Ava and Sam Carter, Lilla and William Jenkins all who he considered “a little above average.” One sister, Ruby Brantley of Corydon, KY; sister-in-law Joanna Watson of Hopkinsville, KY and nephew Scott McAtee of Cypress, TX.A Memorial Service will be held at Community Baptist Church July 19, 2017. Visitation will be held at the Church from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM.  Memorial Service at 2:30 PM. Dr. Tim Hobbs will officiate. Donations may be made to Community Baptist Church or Christian Outreach.
