Robert Hiram "Hi" Knight

Robert Hiram “Hi” Knight, 87, of Henderson passed away Friday August 5, 2022 at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born in Henderson on July 14, 1935. Robert was a US Navy Veteran. He owned and operated Crafton & Duncan and was a member and Deacon at Zion Baptist Church. He was involved in disaster relief and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. He was preceded in death by his mother Rowena (Henderson) Henshaw; siblings Dorothy Cunningham, Walker Knight, Buddy Knight, William Knight and Betty Sigler. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Barbara Knight; his best friend and buddy Lawson Schweikhard; 2 sisters Mary Ruth Gardner (Norman) of Florida, Jane Mahler of Arizona; one brother Jim Knight (Sue) of Henderson and several nieces and nephews. Although he had no biological children, Robert and Barbara raised several children; Wendy Moats, Brian Hallmark, Paula Priest and Riley Priest. He is also survived by his fur baby Maxi Poo. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-7PM at Zion Baptist Church and Wednesday 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Kennedy Moats, Michael Moats, Jonas Schweikhard, Brian Hallmark, Taylor Moats and Mickey Gish. Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.
