Robert Odell Sawyer

Robert “Bob” Odell Sawyer, 79 of Henderson passed away March 7, 2021 at his home.Bob was born in Henderson to the late John Odell and Rubenia (Adams) Sawyer. He was a Crane Operator and retired after 33 years from Alcoa. He was a member of Beals Pentecostal Church where he loved serving the Lord and taught Sunday School for most of his life.Bob was active in volunteering his time at the Harbor House that he co-founded and help build.He was a family man who loved his children and his grandchildren, and he was a U. S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Willa Mae (Fambrough) Sawyer; his siblings Starlin Sawyer, Martha Dean Tapp and Sue Gayle Sawyer. Bob is survived by his children Shelia Snow (Jake) of Henderson and David Odell Sawyer (Shannon); his brothers Lloyd Sawyer and Silas Sawyer; his grandchildren Jessica Collins, Dalton Sawyer and Kayle Sawyer; step grandchildren Jacob Snow and Emily Pike; step great grandchildren and  several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday March 15, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Barry Skaggs  officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40. Visitation will be Monday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Sawyer, Dalton Sawyer, Joel Barrett, Mark Sawyer, Brennen Snow and Jacob Snow. Memorial contributions can be made to Beals Pentecostal Church.
