Roby D. Moody left this world for his next adventure on Dec.10, 2025 after a long and
courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kentucky on November 18, 1966, Roby spent his life
moving between Kentucky and Texas before finally laying down roots in the Lone Star State,
where he built a life full of love, laughter, and quiet strength.
Roby was a man who felt most at peace under an open sky. He loved the outdoors, his truck, and
his family with a steady devotion. Later in life, he discovered a deep joy in traveling-taking in
the beauty of the country one breathtaking view at a time. He never rushed those moments; he
absorbed them, carrying them like treasures.
Roby is preceded in death by his beloved Mamie Annie and his parents, Joe and Betty Hindman.
He leaves behind a world forever changed by his absence: his wife and best friend, Dawn
Moody, who loved him with her whole heart; his two children, Olivia Moody and family, and
Jake Moody and family; his brother, Chris Moody and family; his bonus sons, D.J. and
Deryk; and a large, heartbroken circle of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family
who adored him.
Those who loved Roby will forever carry his strength, his warmth, and his unforgettable spirit.
His journey here may have ended, but his love remains-steady, deep, and lasting. And
somewhere in heaven, there is much rejoicing as he is reunited with those who went before him.
