Roger Edward Lindsey, 76, of Hanson (Formerly of Ashbyburg) passed to his heavenly home on June 28, 2022 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital Long Term Care. Roger was born March 21, 1946 in Rosine, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Clellie Lawrence Lindsey and Doomie Pharris Lindsey. He was of the Christian faith and shared his faith through playing his guitar and singing about his Savior. Roger worked hard in the coal mines as a master mechanic and welder until an accident limited his mobility. He then spent time tinkering and fixing things for others. He was an honest, respected man who would give all he had to anyone. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Lindsey; infant daughter Bridget Kay Lindsey, his parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. He is survived by his son Chris (Shannon) Lindsey of Ashbyburg, daughters Cherri Lindsey of Hanson, Dana (Susan) Lindsey of Newburgh IN, and Holley (Matthew) Osborne of Greenville KY. He is also survived by 3 children by heart Justin, Heath, and Tonia Cardwell; 16 grandchildren Justin, Jessica, Erica, Nicole, Sawyer, Meagan, Hunter, Matthew, Jase, Kamden, Kierra, Nicholas, Emma, Leland, Parker, Hope; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Michael Lindsey; 4 sisters Sherlen Marvel, Rita Harberson, Joanie Gregory, and Kim Melton. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday July 1, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Justin and Heath Cardwell officiating. Visitation will be Friday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. Pallbearers: Justin Hale, Sawyer Lindsey, Chris Lindsey, Adam Austin, Hunter Cardwell, and Matthew Osborne. Hon. Pallbearers Michael Lindsey, Kamden Osborne, and Parker Osborne.
