Roger Whitman Watson

Roger Whitman Watson, 58, of Henderson, passed away Tuesday July 31, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Henderson on July 9, 1960 to Edward M. and Martha (Whitman) Watson.Roger was an oil field supervisor.   His many hobbies included watersports and boating, camping, traveling and working on cars.  He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and helping people.  He was everyone’s hero.  Roger was preceded in death by his father Edward M. Watson and father-in-law Douglas Leon Sigler. Survivors include his wife of 31 years Debbie Watson, mother Martha Whitman-Watson, mother-in-law Mary Ida Sigler, 3 children Jennifer Bowne, Kassandra Hill and Eric Stone, 6 sisters Delores Gatlin, Dottie Shelton, Pat Wolfe, Becky Stallins, Carol Cutshaw, Kim Wolfe, 1 brother Bobby Watson, 7 grandchildren Jade Porter, Christian Hill, Alex Stevenson, Kylie Stevenson “Whiney”, Kayley Ross “Bossy”, Lola Tomas “Larry” and Ruby Bowne. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 4, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. David Stone and Howard Coffee will officiate.Visitation will be Friday 4-8PM and Saturday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. A private burial will be at a later date.
