He was a member of the Labors Local #561 in Evansville, IN and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death step-son Tony E. Piper (1981) He is survived by his wife of 32 years Barbara Sue Gatewood of Henderson Mother-law and Father-in-law: Nellie and Herbert Buckman of Elkton, KY His niece was the joy of his life: Ashlyn Marie Stone of Henderson Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Brother Gary Ashby will officiate. Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
