Ronald Gene Riggs

Ronald Gene Riggs, 59 of Hanson, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. He was born in Madisonville on June 15, 1957 to the late Eugune and Audrey Ruby Riggs. He worked for General Electric Aircraft Engines for more than 21 years. He was a member of Covenant Community Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was a loyal friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Robert Jackson Riggs, and two sisters, Lois Jean Riggs, and Doris Elaine Riggs. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vanessa Stoner Riggs, his daughter, Jaclyn L. Riggs, his son Michael Riggs, all of Hanson, Kentucky, grandchildren, Josh Fletcher, and Carissa Fletcher, an uncle, several aunts, several cousins, and many friends. Services will be on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Covenant Community Church with Pastor Michael Knight offciating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Hanson, Kentucky. Visitation will be at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 4-8 pm and on Saturday at the church from 11 AM until service time. Pallbearers will be Jody Wolfe, Tony Riggs, Dennis Clapp, Kenny Hayes, Rodney Little and Zach Ashby.
