Ronald Lee Smith

Ronald Lee Smith, 89, of Henderson, KY passed away on June 25, 2025. He proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley Melton Smith; brothers, Sidney Smith (Mindy Pulido) of Florida and Steve Smith (Darla) of Henderson; sister, Faye Griffith (Barry) of Nashville, TN.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Ruby (Biggs) Smith; a brother, James Wesley Smith, and a sister, Ann Gaines.

He was a member of Hyland Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and always wanted to lend a helping hand where he could. He loved Jesus and was always telling others about him. When he had the time, you could find him on the golf course.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 30, 2025, 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with Rev. Kenny Kidd officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Hyland Baptist Church.
