Ruby Jewell Hayes

Ruby Jewell (Whitsell) Hayes, 77 of Slaughters, KY passed away 10:00 PM Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. She was born in Slaughters, KY on January 3, 1934 to the late Charlie Hayden and Lorene (Myers) Whitsell. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Faith. She was also an avid UK fan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur Greenfield, second husband, David Hayes and a sister Joyce Hancock. She is survived by 4 children; Kay Masterson and husband Tom of Madison Heights, MI Patti Jo Swaffar and husband Tom of Slaughters, KY Mark Hayden Greenfield of Sterling Heights, MI Jeff Greenfield of Slaughters, KY 5 grandchildren; Tammy (Brian) Truba, Ryan (Hollie) Masterson, Bryan (Jenny) Masterson, Regina “Suds” (Tom) Sisk, Brandon (Sherry) Swaffar. 10 Great Grandchildren 2 Nephews Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday December 11, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters Hanson Chapel. Bro. Bill Crabtree will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Sunday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
