Ruby Louise Walker

Ruby Louise Walker, 84, of Sebree, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace. She was born in Webster Co. May 20, 1937 to the late Vaughn and Iris G. (Watson) Floyd. Ruby was a homemaker and member of the Moose Lodge in Henderson. She loved cooking, gardening, working word puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Walker; son, Kenny Brown; grandson, Jeremy Walker; great grandson, Kizer Walker; sisters, Frances Russell, Iris Taylor, Maude Harmon, May Wedding, and Sue Bradley; and brothers, James Floyd and Gene Floyd. She is survived by her children, Gary Walker of Sebree, Thomas Walker of Henderson, and Bernetta Grose (George) of St. Charles; sister, Joyce Taylor of Sebree; stepsons, Michael Walker of Tennessee, Johnny Walker of Bethalto, IL, and Allen Walker of Florida; four grandchildren, Jennifer Walker Stephenson (Travis), Gary D. Walker, Nathan Brown, and Tiffany Brown; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 26 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, February 25 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Gary Walker, Jennifer Stephenson, Allen Russell, Jeff Bradley, William Taylor, and Luke Walker.
