Rudy Eugene Gibson

Rudy Eugene Gibson, age 81, died at his residence under the care of Hospice at 8:00 AM Sunday, March 4th, 2012. He was born in Union County on May 20th, 1930 to Ernest Leslie and Martha Pearl ( Davis) Gibson He had been a maintenance worker for Alcan. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and a U. S. Navy veteran. He also loved traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Jack Gibson, and sister; Faye Hicks He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Agnes Gibson of Henderson. Three sons: Dale Gibson and wife Claudia of Georgia Barry Gibson and wife Cathy of Illinois Matt Gibson of Henderson Three daughters: Terri Shackelford of Henderson Kathy Bateman and husband Larry of Indiana Janet Barkley and Kenny of Henderson Four Brothers: Russell Gibson of Uniontown Larry Gibson of Morganfield Ken Gibson of Missouri Wayne Gibson of Uniontown Sixteen Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren Services will be at noon Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Anthony J. Shonis will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel where prayers will be said at 6:00 PM. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post 40 Burial Detail at the graveside. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
