Russell A. Hibbs IV 48, of Henderson passed away peacefully at his home under the care of St. Anthony Hospice. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Russell was born March 25, 1972 in Henderson, Ky to Dr. Russell and the late Judith (Glutting) Hibbs. He graduated from The University of Southern Indiana in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. He used this degree as an Accountant for SS&C Technologies in Evansville. He participated in many extracurricular activities with the company including the kickball and bowling teams. Prior to accounting, he was a 20 year veteran of the Pizza Industry. He managed many restaurants and was the proud owner and operator of Lucy Bella’s Pizzeria in Henderson. His pizza making skills were nothing short of legendary. He was an avid fan of UK Basketball, a talented singer who could take on any karaoke song, a cycling enthusiast, and a cat lover.  He loved to watch stand up comedy and had the greatest laugh. All who knew him described him as one of the kindest people they had ever met. He was always smiling and positive and had a kind word for everyone. His greatest love was his wife, April, who he doted on and cared for above all else. He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy and his brother in-law, Chris Lord.  Russell is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, April Gaffney Hibbs of Henderson, KY.; his father Dr. Russell A. Hibbs of Henderson; his sisters Diana Lord of Henderson, Susan Hibbs(David Magruder) of Neenah Wisconsin, Rebecca Adkins(Butch) of Lexington, Ky.; nieces and nephews, Andrew Lord(Kaitlin), Jane DeCheck(Andy), Madeline Hibbs-Magruder, Crystal Magruder, Andy Magruder, Alex Magruder, Taylor Adkins and Hannah Adkins. And the littlest loves of his life, his great nieces Ainsley Lord and Anniston Lord. A Memorial service to celebrate his beautiful life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice and/or The Henderson Humane Society.
