Ruth O Jones

Ruth O. Jones, 83 of Henderson died at 10:10AM Monday May 28, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born May 5, 1929 in Webster County to Joseph Edwin and Zora Jane (Winstead) Oakley. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church, a St. Anthony’s Hospice Volunteer, member of the Methodist Hospital Ladies Auxillary, and St. Paul’s Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clay K. “Buck” Jones in 2002, son Richard K. Jones in 1977 and 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by 2 children, K. Michael Jones and his wife Candy of Canton, MI and Pam Grossman and her husband Alan of Corydon, KY. Six grandchildren: David Grossman, Dana Ford, Donna Mathias, Debra Hines, Kristopher Jones, and Timothy Jones. Five Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 31, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. John Charles will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 PM and Thursday 9:00 AM until Service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Grossman, Kristopher Jones, Timothy Jones, Terry Todd, Greg Oakley and David Mitchell. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
