Ruth Ann Meredith

Ruth Ann Meredith, age 82, of Reed, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was born in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Walter and Christine Hardy. She dedicated 23 years to serving others in the Dietary Departments of several nursing homes. Ruth enjoyed working puzzles, watching her favorite soap operas and Roseanne, and most of all, cherishing time spent with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeff; her sister, Betty Evans; and two brothers, William Hardy and Donald Hardy.

Ruth is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Henry Meredith Jr.; her children, Angel Fitzgerrel (Timmy) of Reed, Rita Meredith of Paducah, and Nick Meredith (Megan) of Corydon, Kentucky; her brothers, George Hardy of Dixon and Larry Hardy (Lisa) of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; her sister, Glenda (Mark) of Missouri; and many cherished grandchildren and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Bro. Bill Skipworth officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
