Ruth Stambush

Ruth H. Stambush, born September 24, 1932 went home to be with the Lord after a brief battle with lymphona on October 18, 2008, at Pine Haven Nursing Home. Ruth owned and operated Stambush Grocery in Slaughters, KY for the past 35 years. Ruth dearly loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing clabber with her grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, after 42 years of marriage and parents Ova and Dora Carlisle. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Cavanah Tom, sons: Randy Harmon and wife Chung Mi, Archie Stambush and wife Lisa, Ova Stambush and Diane, Mark Stambush and Liz, , sister Ernestine Carlisle, brother Roger Carlisle and wife Julia, six grandchildren: Bill Hentschell and wife Rachel, Chris Harmon and his wife Cathy, Mark Stambush and his wife Shellie, Missy Holzmeyer and her husband Kris, Archie Stambush IV and his wife Kim, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday October 22, 2008 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel in Slaughters, KY. Pastor Kris Holzmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be 3-8 P.M. Tuesday October 21, 2008 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark Stambush, Jr., Chris Harmon, Cregg Stambush, Archie Stambush IV, Bill Hentschell, and Brent Zachary.
