Sammy Ray Cole

Sammy Ray Cole, 81, of Sebree passed away Wednesday March 15, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh.

He was born in Webster County on September 28, 1941 to the late Sammie Lee and Nellie (Forker) Cole.

Sammy was retired from Whirlpool. He was a member of New Cedar Grove Church as well as the Onton Bailey Masonic Lodge #538. He enjoyed running his beagle hounds and watching the St. Louis Cardinals but most of all Sammy loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Alice Cole in 2017; one son Gary Lee Cole in 2021; two sisters Mary Lou Walker and Margie Lee.

Survivors include his son Kevin Cole (Christa) of Dixon; daughter-in-law Janet Cole of Sebree; two grandchildren Emily Baird (Kyle), Christi Robinson (Cody); four great-grandchildren Katelynn Baird, Bryar Baird, Adalyn Robinson and Raelyn Robinson.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Dr. Bob Hardison officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday 5-8PM with a Masonic service at 7:00 PM and Monday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Cole, Phillip Dixon, Kevin Utley, Caleb Utley, Danny Brooks and Perry Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Brooks and Kenneth Riggs.
