Sammy L. Williams, 80 of Henderson passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital June 1, 2014. He was born July 25, 1933 in Clay, KY to John H. and Pearl B. (Marks) Williams. He owned and operated Valley Moving and Storage for 30 year and was a charter member of Community Baptist Church. Sammy loved fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Michael Ray Williams in 1956, one sister Barbara Plasters and one brother Johnnie Williams. He is survived by his wife Eleanor “Miss Lou” Williams of Henderson 2 children: Michelle Rae Reising and her husband Patrick Amy McDowell and her husband Larry both of Henderson 1 Granddaughter: Samantha English of Henderson Nieces and nephews Memorial service will be 11:00 AM June 5 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Mary Wrye will officiate. Visitation will be 3:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00 AM until service time Thursday. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial Detail.
