Samuel "Sam" Brandon Puckett, 45, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on June 11, 2026, at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on June 9, 1981, in Henderson, to the late John Steve and Connie June Puckett.
Sam was a gentle soul with a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. He found peace and happiness in fishing, where he could connect with nature, and in painting, which allowed him to express his creativity.
Preceded in death by his grandmother, Delores "Dody" Raley, he leaves behind a legacy of love. He is survived by his devoted wife, Heather Puckett; his cherished children, Alexis Brooks, Keegan Brooks, and Myles Puckett; and a grandchild, Taz Rivet, who brought immense joy to his life. Sam also leaves behind his siblings, John Puckett, Amber Puckett, and Stanley Neal Puckett, along with his caring father and mother-in-law, Frank and Maurita Wright, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, with Bro. Jeff Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Mills Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 10:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Wright, Tony Cueller, Nathan Rigdon, Billy Bean, Donald Madden, Joey Boston and Donald Madden, Jr.
In honor of Sam's compassionate spirit, contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice as a gesture of sympathy.
As we come together to celebrate Sam's life, we remember him not only for his passions but for the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.
