Scott Edward Gaines, M.D.

Dr. Scott Gaines Dr. Scott Gaines, 59 years old, passed away Saturday August 10, 2013, at his home in Madisonville. He was born on June 24, 1954 to Eddie Rice Gaines and Wilma Jean (Billie) Gilkey. He was a 1972 graduate of Earlington High School, a 1976 graduate of Murray State University and 1980 graduate of The University of Kentucky Medical School. He was director of Emergency Medicine at Regional Medical Center, 1985 to 1998. Co-founder and CEO of Multicare Specialists 1995 to 2006. Chief Medical Officer of Owensboro Health Medical Group 2006 to present. He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Gaines and grandparents Ermon and Polly Gilkey of Earlington. He is survived by his mother and step-father Billie and Tom Agnew of Madisonville. Four sons, Josh Gaines of Madisonville, Zach Gaines of Hopkinsville, Andrew Gaines of Madisonville and Ashton Gaines of Madisonville. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 15th , 4:00 PM at Madisonville Country Club in Madisonville. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
