Shane Thomas Jewell

Shane Thomas Jewell, 34, of Henderson passed away Monday October 14, 2013 at Methodist Hospital. He was born in Henderson on July 2, 1979 to Garry Wayne and Peggy Sue (Troutman) Jewell. Shane was a custodian at East Heights Elementary School. He was a very involved member of Watson Lane Baptist Church, an assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America and was on a pit crew for the demolition derby. He was preceded in death by his father. Shane is survived by his mother Peggy Jewell of Henderson 2 sisters: Shelly Garza of Henderson Mickey Chambers and husband James of Calhoun, Kentucky twin brother: Shawn Wayne Jewell and wife Crystal of Henderson 2 Aunts: Patsy Williams of Evansville Peggy F. Jewell of Dawson Springs Nephews: Robert Wayne Thomas and wife Cristina of Henderson Danny Thomas and wife Mandy of Evansville Several Nieces and Nephews Best Friend: Stuart Carlisle Dog: Rascal All of Mr. Shane’s kids at East Heights Elementary Services will be 1:00 PM Friday October 18, 2013 at Watson Lane Baptist Church. Bro. Brad Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 3-8PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel home and Friday 10AM until service time at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Watson Lane Baptist Church Children’s Ministry. Pallbearers will be Stephen Calhoun, Joey Patterson, Jonathan Self, Robert Thomas, Danny Thomas, Keith Nally, Charlie Ransom, and Danny Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart Carlisle and Greg Justice.
