Shay Allen Pirtle

Shay Allen Pirtle, 43, of Henderson, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at home.

He was born in Henderson on August 15, 1980 to Larry A. Pirtle and the late Lisa C. (Mills) Mullins.

Shay enjoyed listening to music and loved the thrill and excitement of roller coasters. Halloween was his favorite holiday,

though he cherished them all. His sociable nature and infectious spirit brought a smile to the faces of all that knew him.

In addition to his mother, Shay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garland and Bonnie Mills and Patricia “Mom Pat” Pirtle; and brothers-in-law, Caleb Overton and Zachary Wallace.

Survivors include his father, Larry Pirtle (Audra); siblings, Tosha Overton (fiancé, Walt Majors), Kim Wallace, and Whitley Baumgartner (Clay); grandfather, George Pirtle; nieces and nephews, Brennen Majors, Chelsi Majors, Blake Wallace, Jacey Wallace, Ariana Overton, Brylee Overton, Zoie Overton, Jason Winters, Mason Winters, Kayleigh Gower, and Kelsey Powers; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; stepfather, Ronnie Mullins; step grandparents and half brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 21 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Darrell Powell officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, February 21 from 10 a.m. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Walt Majors, Blake Wallace, Brennen Majors, Greg Pirtle, Gabe Pirtle, and Wes Mills.
