Shelia Kay Long

Shelia Kay Long, 59, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on December 3, 2024, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Born in Madisonville, Shelia was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Agnes (Burden) Dunbar. A kind and loving soul, Shelia was deeply devoted to her family and cherished the companionship of her dogs, who brought her great joy. She will be remembered for her warm heart and the love she shared with those around her.

Shelia is survived by her devoted husband, Glyndon “Hippie” Long; her stepdaughters, Candy Long and Danelle Gates; her sisters, Loretta Kirk and Matilda Francis; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

A graveside service  will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Brother Tim Wilkerson officiating.

Shelia’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
