Sherie Lynn Tomlingson

Sherie Lynn Tomlingson passed away at Henderson Deaconess Hospital at 7:18PM on Friday, January 27, 2023. She was born in Henderson Kentucky on March 3, 1955 to John and Maddie Ann Coley. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, parents, siblings and many friends.

Sherie would tell you her life truly began with her marriage to her husband, Troy. Their marriage on October 24, 1980 cemented her and her only child’s family. She was devoted to family and friends to almost a fault. Through 39 years of more ups than downs, she cared for her husband & son and was a constant source of emotional support to her siblings and parents. She loved to see people happy and enjoyed treating loved ones to small but thoughtful gifts. She was not only a mother & wife but was a best friend that was cherished by her husband & son. Sherie was loved and cherished by many friends she made through the years because of her since of humor, tell it like it is attitude and her devotion to anyone she called a friend.

Sherie was a natural born adventurer. She went to Florida at age 17…just to go, wasn’t even spring break. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and other locals to gamble. Her love of gambling bore many friends that she would have most likely never met. Those friends would tell you about how much fun she was and how much they enjoyed being around her. She enjoyed trips to where she and her husband would meet up with friends and gamble. Sherie lived life her way and for any faults she may have had, she should be admired for that.

She is survived by her son, Chad Lee, and many wonderful & supportive family and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel.

Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2023, 3:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
